Kaizer Chiefs star Sekgota labels Sundowns veteran ‘a genius’

And Sekgota was referring to Themba Zwane, who is undoubtedly one of the best talents to have been unearthed in South Africa.
Sekgota had an opportunity to play alongside Zwane at Bafana Bafana when they took on Sierra Leone and Botswana in international friendlies.

Zwane dazzled opposition defenders with his brilliance on his return to the Bafana Bafana setup, and consequently, leaving Hugo Broos to swallow his words regarding the midfielder’s age.
The 33-year-old even scored a brace against Sierra Leone, and Sekgota was there to witness the Sundowns man’s magic feet from close range.

The Chiefs attacking midfielder said Zwane is a clever player as he’s able to read his teammates’ movements on and off the ball, and he feels he’s a role model to younger players.

“He’s a good player, he’s a genius. I mean, you can see what he [Zwane] wants to do and he can also see what you want to do, he’s clever and well experienced, and a good role model to look up to also,” said Sekgota to SABC Sport.

Sekgota, himself, has been in top form for Chiefs since the start of the season, creating a number of goalscoring chances for his teammates while providing three assists.

And it is for that reason he was included in Broos’ squad recently, and chances are he could be called up again in the next international break.
