Given the chance, Kaizer Chiefs fans would find these decisions rather tough to call. Options to extend contracts are hard enough, it’s even tougher for senior players.
KAIZER CHIEFS: TO EXERCISE CONTRACT EXTENSIONS OR NOT?
So which players are we talking about here? We are talking about Lebogang Manyama and Samir Nurkovic. Should they stay or go?

The fact that the club has not made the decision with three months to go is not a great sign if you’re a big fan of Manyama 31 or Nurkovic, 29.
According to both players’ contracts, the deals end in June 2022, though there are options to extend for another year each.
The question is, did Manyama and Nurkovic do enough to motivate Kaizer Chiefs to extend their deals?
The fact that both players suffered lengthy injuries makes the decision rather hard to make. But then again, some people say injuries are the reason why older players should be released.

- Manyama: Zero goals and zero assists in 11 games.
- Nurkovoic: Zero goals and zero assists in 8 games.
