Kaizer Chiefs joint top scorer’s future under the microscope!

Despite being the club’s joint top goalscorer, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana will likely not be part of Kaizer Chiefs next season

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly considering sending Burundian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana out on loan.

The lanky 25-year-old striker showed glimpses of his talent at Naturena however injuries plagued his opening season at the club.

Despite his difficulties both on and off the pitch, Bimenyimana was the club’s joint top scorer with nine goals in all competitions.

Now, new reports suggest the Glamour Boys are planning to send the Burundian out on loan next season!

Kaizer Chiefs to take big decision on Bimenyimana?

“His situation is not good at all. The club will have to either release him or loan him out next season because he is clearly not in the plans for next season.” an insider told Citizen.

“The team are actively looking for strikers and Bimenyimana will most probably leave. Christian Saile may be given another chance because he has shown some potential.”

In other news, Swallows FC chairman David Mogashoa has confirmed that he’ll be willing to re-sign struggling Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo.

Ngcobo has struggled to replicate the form that saw him win the Defender of The Season award with Swallows.

Despite being at Naturena for two seasons now, Ngcobo hasn’t adjusted to life as a Glamour Boy.

And now, Swallows FC chairman David Mogashoa has offered him a ‘get out of jail free’ card!

“Very disappointed, I think he’s also disappointed that he did not get game time. I’m open to talks if they (Kaizer Chiefs) want to send him out, I’m willing to take him.” – Swallows FC chairman David Mogashoa told SoccerLaduma.

“He did very well at Swallows. I always say to people the pressure at Swallows is not the same pressure at Chiefs. You can be a very good player at Swallows and be a bad player at Chiefs.”
