Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt admitted that the pressure at the Amakhosi is unparalleled in South African football.

Kaizer Chiefs boast the largest fan base in the country and leading the Soweto giants is taking its toll on the four-time Absa Premiership winning coach.

Hunt’s tenure at Chiefs began in disaster fashion with the Amakhosi picking up just seven points from their opening eight league games and Hunt has since opened up regarding the turbulent start.

It hasn’t been easy at Kaizer Chiefs – Gavin Hunt

“Yes. It certainly is the most stressful job. It’s only been a few games but it certainly is. It hasn’t been easy. Things have gone against us a little bit but sometimes you’ve got to work harder for those things.” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt said as quoted by Citizen.

“On the evidence of the chances created, I think it’s two points lost. We had some great opportunities in the first half, and they didn’t have any that I recall. They scored a wonder goal and that was it. It’s more a matter of two points lost than the one gained.

“I think I know where the problems are, and we have to keep battling away. And that’s all you can do. You can’t change anything in terms of, you know what I am talking about (the Kaizer Chiefs transfer ban). We have to keep trying and do the best we can.”

Kaizer Chiefs next turn their attention to Angolan giants Premiero De Agosto who they face in a CAF Champions League second round fixture on Wednesday evening. The first-leg clash will take place at the FNB Stadium with action scheduled to get underway at 18:00.

As far as DStv Premiership fixtures are concerned, Kaizer Chiefs have closed their 2020 chapter and will next face Maritzburg United on 09 January 2021.
