Kaizer Chiefs: Itumeleng Khune replacements found

Kaizer Chiefs and Amakhosi management have already found their short and long term replacements for Itumeleng Khune. Is he leaving Naturena?

Brandon Peterson is currently the man standing tall and strong in goal, keeping Khune on the bench.

Furthermore, Bontle Molefe has been tipped to be ‘the next Khune’ in the future. They are also currently closing in on a deal for a new goalkeeper. So, will he be leaving at the end of the season?

CHIEFS FIND REPLACEMENTS FOR KHUNE

Peterson is currently the immediate replacement to Khune.

In fact, he is the first choice and the reason that Khune is now on the bench.

Whilst young starlet, Molefe is the long term back-up to Khune.

Meaning, Amakhosi management are mentoring him as the next star goalkeepr. Last season, Molefe signed a three-year deal with Amakhosi back in February with the club putting him through the same processes as Khune, according to SABCSport.

Therefore, when Amakhosi’s legend finally leaves and Once Molefe is ready, we could see him as the main goalkeeper.

For now though, this is a long way away. Molefe is yet to start under Arthur Zwane and Peterson is in top form – securing six clean sheets to date.

So, Khune’s contract coming to an end at the end of the season. Amakhosi are linked with a new keeper and they have just signed a new deal with Molefe.

However, the latest reports coming out of Naturena indicate that Amakhosi management are likely to extend his contract .

ANOTHER KEEPER COMING TO NATURENA

Furthermore, there is another keeper signing coming to Naturena.

The club is close to wrapping up the deal for their ‘mystery signing’ with Bruce Bvuma set to be sacrificed as part of the deal.

Also, Amakhosi management are interested in Richards Bay keeper, Salim Magoola.
