Therefore, a whole team (and an additional player) are likely heading out.

FULL LIST OF CHIEFS PLAYERS HEADING OUT

Chiefs players facing likely exits:

  • Itumeleng Khune
  • Zitha Kwinika
  • S’fiso Hlanti
  • Njabulo Ngcobo
  • George Matlou
  • Edson Castillo
  • Mduduzi Mdantsane
  • Tebogo Potsane
  • Samkelo Zwane
  • Jasond Gonzales
  • Keagan Dolly

Itumeleng Khune is likely set to leave Chiefs to join these PSL rivals.

Meanwhile, Kwinika is one of the latest players linked with a surprise exit.

“The Siya crew has been led to believe that the future of Zitha Kwinika is currently hanging in the balance at Kaizer Chiefs, with a possibility of an exit. Chiefs are expected to have a big clear out of players now that the season is over. Kwinika, it’s understood, is one of the players they are willing to let go, with management not being fully convinced of his contribution over the last two seasons,” SoccerLaduma reported.

Therefore, Amakhosi’s top-earners are all linked with likely exits, as reported on The South African. Ultimately, Keagan Dolly has attracted the interest of two PSL rivals. Moreover, this comes amidst a likely salary drop due to his lack of game time and form in recent seasons.

Additionally, PSL veteran Hlanti is reportedly set to be one of the first exits.

“Now, the latest news reaching the crew’s desk is that Sifiso Hlanti could be one of the first players to leave the club. The 34-year-old has been on the books of the club since 2021 but the crew understands that his time at Chiefs could be coming to an end,” SNL wrote.

Furthermore, Ngcobo has received an offer to play for AmaZulu.

MIDFIELDERS TO PRIORITIZE GAME TIME OVER BENCH-WARMING

Matlou. Mdantsane, Potsane and Zwane find themselves struggling for regular game time. In fact, this is unlikely to change given their current place in the Chiefs pecking order. Yusuf Maart. Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Njabulo Ngcobo are preferred in the midfield.

Meanwhile, even Edson Castillo, who is ahead of the aforementioned quarter, has made it clear that he may leave. The Columbian has to play freqeuntly if he is to represent his national side/ Lately, this has not been the case.

Therefore, he has told management he needs to play more or he may leave. Moreover, fan-favourite Radebe is in SuperSport United’s books. Interestingly, former Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt wants to sign Radebe, who is in a similar boat as these midfielders.

GONZALES WILL LEAVE NATURENA

Gonzales will be leaving Chiefs. In fact, his loan spell has come to an end. Meaning, he will return to Bolivia.

“This publication has learnt, that the physical striker will return to Bolivian club Real Santa Cruz at the end of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season,” iDiskiTimes Lorenz Kohler reported.
