According to Baxter, Chiefs are certain to be without THREE players for the encounter in Tshwane, and they are Lebogang Manyama, Leonardo Castro and Dumisani Zuma.

In his own words, said Manyama is back in training but he’s not fit enough to feature in a competitive match.

Castro and Zuma, on the other hand, are still nursing long-term injuries suffered towards the end of last season.

“In terms of injuries, Lebo Manyama did his first training with team. It doesn’t mean he is fit, but fit enough to train,” Baxter told reporters on Wednesday.

“We’ve got the ones that are injured long-term, Leo Castro, Dumisani Zuma,” he said.

Baxter added that while he’s got two players that came back from the Olympics – Reeve Frosler and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo – the duo have had enough rest to be ready for Sundowns.

The Chiefs mentor said there will be no huge surprise inclusions to his team come matchday.

“We’ve got a few other ones that came back late from the Olympics. We’ve got a couple of injuries and we’ve the players that have taken part in training. We know they had a enough rest, they’ve done structural training with us,” explained Baxter.
