Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Anthony Akumu has been handed a transfer lifeline following the club’s decision to put him on transfer list.

This a relief for Akumu who was most likely to leave Chiefs given his lack of game time this past season.
What this means is that Chiefs are willing to listen to offers to offers for Akumu but if no one comes forward, he will then stay.

However, should the technical team feel that Akumu isn’t giving his all to warrant a stay then the club can terminate his contract.
Akumu still has a year left on his current deal, and if Chiefs were to terminate his contract then they would have to part ways with lots of money.

The lanky midfielder joined Chiefs from ZESCO United two years ago, and he scored twice in 47 appearances across all competitions.

The Club has put Kenyan defensive midfielder Anthony Akumu Agay on transfer. The Club will listen to offers from other Clubs for his services. Like Kambole, Agay also arrived at Chiefs from Zesco and netted twice in his 47 appearances.
