Zwane reveals revised Kaizer Chiefs goals for this season

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has confirmed his side will be going all out in their quest to qualify for the CAF Champions League

Kaizer Chiefs return to DStv Premiership action this afternoon when they travel to the King Zwelethini Stadium to face Richards Bay.

Fresh off a dramatic Soweto derby victory, the Glamour Boys will be looking to continue their momentum this afternoon.

Standing in their way is a Richards Bay side who haven’t won in SIX matches.

Despite their horrific form, Bay still find themselves ahead of Arthur Zwane’s side on the log standings due to a superior goal difference!

Today’s match will indeed be a six pointer in the context of CAF inter-club places.

SuperSport United (2nd), Orlando Pirates (3rd), Richards Bay (4th), Kaizer Chiefs (5th) and Cape Town City (6th) are all well within the top three race.

Just five points seperates second placed SuperSport United and fifth placed Chiefs heading into this weekend’s action.

“I’ll be honest, we plan to win each and every game. Even though the results have been fluctuating,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach said as quoted by IOL.

“We would love to be out there because I have tasted the sweetness of being in the Champions League. And that’s the only time we can grow as a team and players as well.

“The players will grow by participating in such a demanding and competitive league.

“So that will be good for us and the supporters. The history of this club means we must compete at that level year-in and year-out.”
