Kaizer Chiefs will play a number of friendly games ahead of the resumption of the DStv Premiership season on 30 December.

This was confirmed by coach Arthur Zwane as Chiefs returned to training to begin their mini pre-season following a break given to the players.

Almost every Chiefs player reported for duty in preparation for their next encounter against Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on 31 December.

And according to Zwane, while training is important for the players, getting some match fitness is what they will need before the Arrows game.

However, Zwane didn’t disclose the names of the teams they will be playing against to prepare themselves for when the season restarts.

All Zwane is hoping for is for none of his players to get injured during this time in order to be able to pick a strong team with better combinations against Arrows.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO PLAY ‘A FEW FRIENDLIES’ BEFORE GOLDEN ARROWS

“We’ve got a few friendlies lined up and these will help with us with our fitness levels before we play that competitive match on New Year’s eve against Arrows,” Zwane told the Amakhosi website.

“We hope that no one picks up any injury during the next four weeks so we are ready for that particular game,” concluded Zwane.
