It was also confirmed on Thursday that Amakhosi won’t have coach Stuart Baxter at the helm for those matches!

Baxter was sensationally sacked after the Soweto giants’ season floundered.

Assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard appear likely to take over for the remainder of the season. which is not something unfamiliar to them after previous coach Gavin Hunt was sacked at Naturena with just TWO matches left last season!

Meanwhile, following months of uncertainty and legal wrangles between the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and Kaizer Chiefs, the league has written to Amakhosi to confirm the dates and kick-off times of their matches against Golden Arrows and Cape Town City FC.

However, the drama may not be over as the PSL still may declare the results null and void.

In addition, as reported by The South African website, Cape Town City aren’t happy and have lodged an official complaint against the decision to replay the matches.

Anyway, as it currently stands, Kaizer Chiefs are in fourth place in the standings with 39 points after 23 matches.

Their hopes of the title has all-but vanished and the best they can do is finish second and claim the final CAF Champions League spot for next season.
