A part from Kwinika and du Preez, Chiefs are also expected to unveil former AmaZulu midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe. Sithebe is believed to have already signed a pre-contract with Chiefs, which will come into effect on July 1. Amakhosi have also been linked with a number of players, including the likes of Bafana Bafana International Yusuf Maart and Golden Arrows winger Pule Mmodi. Beyond those players, agent Mike Makaab has confirmed dialogue with the club with regards to three of his players.

Lots of names linked to the club

One of those players Makaab has openly discussed is South African junior international Kobamelo Kodisang, who has just extended his contract with Portuguese top flight side. Further the Glamour Boys are linked with several talents from the continent as well as a host of Swallows FC players. Now speaking to IDiskiTimes Motaung said what would undoubtedly sound like music to the ears of Chiefs’ fans.

Zwane will be backed financially!

“We are support, the chairman, the board are in support of bringing quality, bringing new players and beefing up the squad and that’s the support the club give to Arthur (Zwane) to succeed. We are not appointing him to fail, we are going to make sure that, you know people say ‘we break a bank’. We are going to make sure we support and Arthur succeeds with Dillon Sheppard. It’s for the club, it’s for the brand, and it’s for the drought that we have been having for the past seven years”. Motaung said.
