Kaizer Chiefs fans left fuming by ‘disrespectful’ Katsande

Despite a solid showing on the field of play, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has left fans fuming for his off-field behaviour

Kaizer Chiefs fans were left fuming with midfielder Willard Katsande following the Amakhosi’s 1 – 1 draw against SuperSport United on Saturday afternoon.

Willard Katsande was given a rare start by coach Gavin Hunt and the Kaizer Chiefs midfielder didn’t disappoint. He put in a solid performance in the middle of the park however a shoulder injury meant his afternoon was cut short.

The Amakhosi took the lead in the first half through a stunning Reeve Frosler strike however Bradley Grobler’s second penalty meant both teams would walk away with a point from the FNB Stadium.

Gavin Hunt was forced to withdraw Willard Katsande in the 64th minute due to injury. Following his withdrawal, Katsande was caught on camera sitting on his phone while the remainder of the match played out.

His seeming lack of interest has left Kaizer Chiefs fans furious after the team dropped points for a sixth consecutive game.

The draw lifted Kaizer Chiefs into eighth position on the DStv Premiership log standings. The Amakhosi will now get ready to face Guinea giants AC Horoya on Tuesday night in the CAF Champions League.
