A first published by The South African website after the match finished 1-1, the Amakhosi captain was caught by television cameras swearing at team-mate Samir Nurkovic in the closing stages of the match at the FNB Stadium.

The incident took place in the dying minutes as Kaizer Chiefs were preparing to take a free-kick.

Parker’s action have angered the club’s supporters who took to social media to call for the former Bafana Bafana star’s head for his behaviour towards his fellow striker.

Kaizer Chiefs’ corporate manager Vina Maphosa confirmed he still has to hear from management if any action will be taken against Parker.

“No [comment]. Will get advice from the team management. If there’s some comment to make will let you know,” Maphosa reportedly told the Kickoff website.

Parker, now 35, last scored a league goal for Kaizer Chiefs back in 2019.
