Kaizer Chefs have announced the death of their former star midfielder who donned the colours of the club over a decade ago.

Kaizer Chefs have announced the death of their former star midfielder who donned the colours of the club over a decade ago.

Steven Ncanana has sadly passed at the age of 36 after being ill for a short period of time.

Ncanana played for Chiefs during the 2010-11 season when Vladimir Vermezovic was at the helm as their head coach.

Ncanana left Chiefs after just one seaaon having featured 12 times and scoring a single goal which came against Bloemfontein Celtic on 26 January 2011.

KAIZER CHIEFS CONFIRM FORMER MIDFIELDER’S DEATH
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Steven Ncanana, who represented Amakhosi in 2010/11,” reads a short statement.
“He will be fondly remembered at the Club and our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones at this difficult time.”
“May his soul rest in peace.”

The South African would like to send its condolences to the family and friends of Ncanana during this difficult time.
