Kaizer Chiefs coach sends WARNING to Mamelodi Sundowns!

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has sent a stern warning to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns!

The Brazilians host the Amakhosi in this weekend’s headline DStv Premiership fixture.

Zwane has since issued the mighty Mamelodi Sundowns with a stern warning ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Kaizer Chiefs coach issues stern warning to Mamelodi Sundowns!

“We don’t have fear. We fear no-one. If we are going to go to that game and be afraid to make mistakes, we are not going to improve.” the Kaizer Chiefs coach told TimesLive.

“We have a long way to go, this will be our third game. So if we start thinking about losing games now, we are going to lose.

“But if we have to go out there we will go and express ourselves. They also have their shortcomings as a club. We will look at those loopholes and punish them.”

In other news, the Glamour Boys welcomed former Cape Town City star defender Edmilson Dove to Naturena.

The Mozambique born 28-year-old joined the Amakhosi on a two year contract with the option to extend.

Kaizer Chiefs have already welcomed the arrival of eight other players to their first team.

While majority of Arthur Zwane’s new signings were attacking minded players, Zitha Kwinika (and to an an extent Dillon Solomons) is the only other defensive new arrival.

According to popular soccer value site Transfermarkt, Edmilson Dove is valued at approximately R6 million!

Amakhosi welcome new signing!

The Glamour Boys took to social media to welcome Edmilson Dove to the club on Thursday afternoon.

“Amakhosi have added Edmilson Gabriel Dove to their squad list for the 2022-23 season on a two-year deal with a further one-year option,” Kaizer Chiefs confirmed on their social media.

“The talented left-footer who is able to play at wing-back and centre-back has been training with Amakhosi and will be eligible to play once his paperwork has been finalised.”

The Glamour Boys next square off with arch rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in this weekend’s blockbuster DStv Premiership clash.

Arthur Zwane’s side began the season in disappointment after losing against Royal AM.

They however managed to turn things around with an emphatic victory over Maritzburg United during the midweek.

Mamelodi Sundowns on the other hand started strongly against Cape Town City. They then suffered a shock loss against TS Galaxy on Wednesday night.

The blockbuster clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs takes place on Saturday, 13 August 2022.
