The two players are Aden McCarthy and Mduduzi Shabalala whom the league, through prosecutor Zola Majavu, said they were not properly registered for DStv Premiership but for Diski Challenge.

It is also important to note that the PSL still relies on the Covid-19 rules adopted by the league before the bio-bubble in 2020 where they stated that teams should not use the pandemic as an excuse for not honouring their fixtures.

In addition, those rules also allow for teams to use their DStv Diski Challenge players whenever it’s necessary to ensure that they honour their fixtures.
