Zwane identifies immediate Caleb replacement at Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has already identified Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana’s replacement heading into the new year.

Bimenyimana returned from injury for Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon in their 2-0 victory over Golden Arrows.

The Burundian striker found the back of the net just 14 minutes into his injury return at the Moses Mabhida.

That strike meant he shoots to the top of the goalscoring charts in the DStv Premiership with seven goals.

His return however was marred by yet another injury which forced Arthur Zwane to replace him with Wandile Duba in the 83rd minute.

Duba ready to lead the line at Kaizer Chiefs

“I’m not worried about his injury right now.” Arthur Zwane said regarding Bimenyimana’s latest injury as quoted by FarPost.

“If he’s injured, we will play the young man Wandi [Wandile Duba]. he’s got the potential to score goals.

“So we have no fear as you could have seen when he went in there, he showed a lot of fearless but obviously football is a game of mistakes.

“He made mistakes here and there, make no mistake, he’s a top class player. He’s going places that young man.

“So, I don’t have a worry. Mduduzi [Shabalala] also came in, so we’ll improvise, we’ll come up with a plan.”

“Itu was at his best today and that’s how you should lead the team. You should lead by example, his experience counts a lot.” Zwane said as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“He gives the boys that courage and belief to not worry as well. If you remember we’ve been conceding goals that we shouldn’t have and the good thing today was we kept a clean sheet.

“So we just want to build on that going forward so that we keep those clean sheets.”
