BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs land R6 million attacker from PSL rivals!

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement with Stellenbosch FC over the transfer of star attacker Ashley Du Preez!

Du Preez has been linked with a move to the Glamour Boys however the only stumbling block was his hefty price tag.

Kaizer Chiefs have missed out on a number of transfer targets during recent years due to their unwillingness to splash large amounts of cash.

This however appears to be a thing of the past, with a reported cash deal being agreed upon for 24-year-old Ashley Du Preez!

“SABC Sport understands that Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of young striker Ashely Du Preez.” an SABC report read.

“Several media reports have linked Du Preez with Amakhosi since 2021 and, at one point talk was that Dumisani Zuma would go in the oppositive direction.

“However, SABC Sport now understands that the two (Stellenbosch and the Amakhosi) clubs have agreed to a cash deal.”

Kaizer Chiefs are also reportedly set to unveil two more new signings following the close of their 2021/22 campaign.

The ‘major’ revamp at Naturena is scheduled to get underway in the coming days. Arthur Zwane’s side are expected to unveil TWO new signings!

Kaizer Chiefs will unveil star PSL defender Zitha Kwinika as well as the somewhat forgotten midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe according to reports!

Kwinika joined the Glamour Boys from Stellenbosch after a stunning campaign which saw him earn their Player of the Season award.

Sithebe on the other hand has been frozen out since January by AmaZulu, due to his looming move to Kaizer Chiefs!

Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker all but confirmed that Zitha Kwinika will be joining Kaizer Chiefs.

“I’d like to wish Zitha well. He’s going back to his boyhood club where he’s developed,” Barker said as quoted by IDiskiTimes.

“Zitha will go back to Kaizer Chiefs, he deserves everything of the best. We wish him well, but be aware that we’re coming for you next season.”

While the transfer fee remains undisclosed, according to Transfermark the 28-year-old defender is valued at approximately R12 million.

Considering the fact that Kwinika’s the captain and arguably one of the most important Stellenbosch player, it’s hard to believe they’d let their star join Kaizer Chiefs for a ‘bargain’!
