KAIZER CHIEFS STAR NKOSINGIPHILE NGCOBO LIKES MESUT OZIL

Every football fan knows Mesut Ozil is a wonderful player on his day, but that’s the key part, ON HIS DAY. It is therefore somewhat surprising to discover Ozil is Ngcobo’s favourite player in the world.

The Amakhosi star was asked by his club to share his favourite player’s name, among many other questions.

Chiefs media asked what is “Mshini” to name his all-time favourite player and biggest inspiration, which he said is Siphiwe Tshabalala for the latter.

“All-time favourite soccer player: Mesut Özil,” Ngcobo said.

“Who inspires you?: Siphiwe Tshabalala,” he added.

Thinking a bit more about Ngcobo’s answer, you can’t help but not that both of his choices are left-footed players just as he is. Especially Ozil who plays his game as a number 10 with minimal speed.

Meanwhile, Chiefs’ Ngcobo is expected to be back on the match green grass this coming weekend in the Nedbank Cup. Amakhosi will take on TS Galaxy in Johannesburg on Saturday at 18:00.
