SOLOMONS REJECTED ROYAL AM FOR KAIZER CHIEFS SAYS SWALLOWS BOSS

As The South African website previously reported, Royal AM boss Sinki Mnisi warned the public that a case could emerge regarding Solomons signing a deal with Chiefs, after he had put pen to paper on a contract with the KwaZulu Natal club.

Swallows boss Mogashoa has now given his side of the story. According to him, Swallows and AM only had a club-to-club agreement on three players that included Solomons, but no deal was signed.

Mogashoa added to say that the new Chiefs star simply refused to join Mam’Khize’s club.

“There was a club-to-club agreement that they [AM] could speak to the players after the season has ended,” he said via SABC Sport.

“We believe that they have concluded a deal with Gamildien but Solomons did not want to go there, he refused. He wanted to go to Chiefs.

“You cannot stand in the players’ ways and say ‘go to Royal AM’. I may want him to go there but I can’t force him.

Solomons did not sign any contract with AM, he is at Chiefs, where he signed a contract. The only thing AM has was a club-to-club agreement,” he added.

“There’s no issue there – of course, there was money involved. If someone comes and says, ‘I like your car, please don’t sell it,’ but after three days they don’t want it anymore, and you’ve stopped people that have bought the same car… We will sit down with AM and resolve the issues.

“Solomons didn’t want to go there. If there are any refunds, they will be processed and the matter will be closed. The only problem could have been, had Solomons signed, he can’t sign two contracts,” the Dube Birds boss concluded.

FORMER COACH DESCRIBES SOLOMONS AS UNBELIEVABLY QUICK

Staying with the 23-year-old Somolons from Steenberg, Cape Town – a former coach made himself available to describe what Kaizer Chiefs fans can expect from the full-back.

According to his former coach at Cape Town All Stars, the Glamour Boys are getting a focused professional with a horse on him up and down the right-wing.

“Swallows played him at right-back and that was the first time I saw him playing there.

“Prior to that he has always played in offensive areas as a right-winger because he uses his pace is most effective used where it hurts the opposition the most,” points out Deane while recalling his earliest meeting with Solomons at All-Stars.

“I always first look at the attitude of the player before anything else.

“Dillon has a fantastic attitude and works with the plus being that he is a professional which counts a lot in this game.

“Then because he is a young player, he has one element which will always give you the edge in any sport throughout the world and that is ‘he is so unbelievable quick’.

“In the last two years that I have watched him, he has developed his game nicely though he still has certain elements of the game to learn.Read the full story here.
