Zwane praises new Chiefs star: ‘Explosive, best I’ve ever seen’

Not every new player makes it at Kaizer Chiefs, but for Ashley Du Preez it looks so promising. Amakhosi coach Arthur Zwane has suggested the 24-year-old has all the tools.

KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN DU PREEZ FOR R10-R15 MILLION

As The South African website previously reported in June, Du Preez became one of the first new acquisitions of the window. The center forward was reportedly signed for around R10-R15 Million from Stellenbosch FC.

ARTHUR ZWANE DELIGHTED WITH DU PREEZ

Having spent around a month with the team at Naturena, coach Zwane simply believes the Idas Valley-born player is one of the best talents he has ever seen.

“The boys are settling very well,” Zwane said at the PSL launch event as quoted by iDiskiTimes‘ leading reporter David Kappel.

“I must give credit to coach Steve and the entire technical team at Stellenbosch. I think they’ve done very well to develop Ashley.

“He’s one of the best players that I’ve ever seen. Very explosive and very good technically,” he added.

CHIEFS AND ZWANE’S NEED FOR A LCB

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has rehashed the club’s desire for a left-footed central defender. We have thus found a few options in SA and Africa to explore.

“We are looking for a left-footed centreback, who can defend and also pick out our strikers with a pass” Zwane told via Ukhozi FM on Wednesday 27 July.
