Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has revealed that all of the players previously in the injury list have resumed training.

Amakhosi face bitter rivals Orlando Pirates in the season’s first Soweto Derby on Saturday, with the two giants contesting the first leg of their MTN 8 semifinal tie at Orlando Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs injury news

Having played three matches across competitions since the start of the new campaign, they have done so without a few key players.

Big names such as Erick Mathoho, Dumisani Zuma and Khotso Moleko are yet to feature this season, with Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic also in the casualty list after undergoing surgery in the off season.

Hunt, however, had encouraging news for the Khosi faithful, revealing that some of the players might feature on the bench on Saturday.

We pretty much have a full bill of health, well, they’ve just started training today, but I mean there is no way they can play Saturday due to the level of match intensity. But two, three of them started training today so let’s see. We are going to need them in the weeks to come that’s for sure,” Hunt told the media. “Tower (Mathoho), Dumisani Zuma and Kgotso Moleko trained. We might have to use them on the bench because we are a bit short but they’ve just started training.”
