At the time, Frosler was fast-approaching the final six months of his contract with Wits when he was offered a new deal towards the end of 2018.

However, the now 24-year-old star wasn’t happy with the terms attached to the said contract which he rejected and never signed until his departure to Chiefs.

According to Frosler, Wits had organised a move to Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes for him, and while he was keen on it, the Milpark-based side wanted him to sign a new contract with them before leaving the country.

And that alone was enough for Frosler to reject the contract, and wait for something better locally.

Frosler was then frozen out at Wits for refusing to agree to their terms – and the club eventually sold him to Chiefs at the start of 2019.

However, they didn’t make any profit as Frosler had already entered the final six months of his contract, and, therefore, could have left Wits for free at the end of the 2018-19 season.

FROSLER WASN’T HAPPY WITH WHAT BIDVEST WITS ASKED OF HIM

“It was more… something they wanted me to do and I wasn’t happy doing it,” Frosler told BBK on Sports LIVE.

“So, we just said, ‘we are not going to sign a new contract. We will just wait and see what the future has in store’, and we waited until the end, look where we are today.

“They organised something overseas for me to go to… in Portugal, but [they] wanted me to sign a new contract before leaving, and I wasn’t happy doing that.”

“So, initially, they (talks) just fell through after that. And I was like, ‘Okay, it wasn’t meant to be. We keep our heads up. We keep working, and who knows what can happen in the future’,” added Frosler.
