Kaizer Chiefs’ Bafana Bafana star plotting to sign for PSL rivals

One of Kaizer Chiefs’ Bafana Bafana stars is interested in leaving Amakhosi to join up with PS rivals AmaZulu.

Njabulo Ngcobo is keen on joining AmaZulu, according to FarPost.

The former Bafana Bafana defender has struggled for gametime under Arthur Zwane and he is looking for a club that will provide him with regular starts.

CHIEFS BAFANA STAR CONSIDERING LEAVING NATURENA

Ngcobo has gone from playing for Bafana Bafana and being a regular starter at Chiefs to struggling for gametime and losing his position in the national side.

So, he wants to join a club that will allow him to play more regularly.

Amakhosi’s defender has made it clear that he is in need of gametime and he is willing to leave in order to get it.

“He has made it clear to his representatives that he wants to go where he will get game time. He wants to play football,” the source explained.

This, in order to increase his chances of returning to the national side.

“At some point, he was in the national team and feels if he was playing consistently, he would have a chance of playing for Bafana Bafana,” he stated.

Ngcobo is keen on joining Usuthu but he is open to entertaining offers from other clubs.

“He is keen on AmaZulu, but he will be open to any other club that will give him a fair chance to play football,” he added.

NGCOBO EXIT NOT GUARENTEED

Ngcobo was named in Arthur Zwane’s recent starting line-up that beat Chippa United 1-0 on Thursday.

Meaning, Zwane still has plans for Ngcobo. So, he may not have to leave if his situation changes and he starts more frequently.

However, Given Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe imminent arrivals next season means an even tougher battle for gametime for Ngcobo next season.
