Hugo Broos was critical of the performance of one of Amakhosi’s stars for Bafana Bafana recently.

Broos and Amakhosi continue to clash. First, Chiefs management and Broos did not see eye-to-eye with Nkosingiphile Ngcobo’s ideal position.

BROOS DROPS AMAKHOSI STARS

Players such as Bruce Bvuma, Njabulo Blom, Phathushedzo Nange, and Njabulo Ngcobo, and Keagan Dolly have all been dropped recently. While his decision can mainly be justified with a drop in form you can’t help but feel for players like Ngcobo (NJ) and Dolly, who have carried Amakhosi in so many matches.

Even Blom was brilliant last season, he is slowly returning to form in this year’s DStv Premiership too.

Blom comes to mind yet again given his form last season and in recent years. Yet, despite this, he has hardly been given a chance with the national side.

Another name that comes to mind is Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. Amakhosi’s talented young midfielder wrapped up several PSL Goal of the Month awards, Player of the Month awards and has done so much for Amakhosi yet he continues to be overlooked.

RECENT UNFAIR TREATMENT OF CHIEFS STAR

Ashley Du Preez was called up and given his national debut. After just one start, Broos closed the door on him – stating that certain players will not be called up for Bafana’s next matches.

This harsh treatment of Du Preez is the cherry on top of a series of questionable actions against Chiefs. Broos dropped several stars well some have been overlooked and poorly treated. Ngcobo (NJ) is one of the top defenders in the PSL but was questionably thrown into the midfield and then dropped and seemingly ignored despite his form.

The reality is, while Amakhosi have not had the rub of the green with Broos and Bafana, they have also not shown consistent form or challenged for any silverware either. recently.
