Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday confirmed the intended departures of EIGHT players as they look to rebuild (again) under new coach Arthur Zwane.

As reported by The South African website, Samir Nurkovic, Lazarous Kambole, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso, Leonardo Castro, Daniel Akpeyi, Kearyn Baccus and Anthony Akumu Agay have all not had their contracts renewed.

In addition, Amakhosi have parted ways with former coach Stuart Baxter’s son, Lee, who performed goalkeeping duties at the club since February 2018.

More players set to leave Kaizer Chiefs

There are bound to be more players leaving Naturena in the coming days, but at the time of publishing, Itumeleng Khune remains a Glamour Boy.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have to date confirmed the signings of THREE players, namely Stellenbosch FC duo Zitha Macheke and Ashley du Preez as well as AmaZulu’s Siyethemba Sithebe.
