According to Zwane, collecting 21 points from 10 league games was an ultimate target, but as things stand, Chiefs are on seven points from six games.

And this means Chiefs can only reach 19 points provided they win their next four league games hence Zwane’s admission that they have not done well.

In his own words, Zwane said if Chiefs can get to 63 points this season, that would put them in a good position to challenge for the league title.

Chiefs have 72 points to fight for as there are 24 league games remaining, but getting to 63 points is definitely not going to be easy given how competitive the league is.

Last season, Chiefs collected just 47 points with 13 wins, eight draws and nine defeats – and ended up finishing in position five.

ZWANE’S STRATEGIC TITLE PLAN FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

“We targeted 21 points in 10 games. When you analyse our league, in 30 games if you get 21, 21, 21 – you get 63 points and the chances are huge that you would be competing or you will be up [there],” said Zwane as per iDiski Times.

“Unfortunately, at the moment, when you look at… especially this game [AmaZulu], after we told ourselves that we needed to make sure to win this one. It would have given us the opportunity to collect the [points in] the remaining four games to get to 21.”

“So, that means we’re two points short in terms of reaching our target. So, we’re going to have to dig deeper, you know,” added Zwane.
