Arthur Zwane was shooting from the hip following Kaizer Chiefs‘ 2-2 draw against Swallows on Saturday as the club kick starts its rebuilding project.

Amakhosi will beef up their squad while a mass exodus is expected while players who didn’t give their all for the club over the past few years are set to be released.

So far, Zitha Kwinika and Siyethemba Sithebe are, for now, the only two players confirmed to be heading to Naturena from Stellenbosch and AmaZulu respectively.

Now, according to Zwane, who raised his hand for the head coaching job at Chiefs ahead of next season, said the club should be realistic in their targets before signing them.

But most importantly, Zwane wants Chiefs to be firm when deciding on the players who should stay or leave the club, saying the club has nursed the feelings of some players for far too long.

Zwane was making reference to Amakhosi’s seven-year trophy drought after the Soweto giants failed to make an effort to win any of the three trophies that were available to them this season.
