According to Zwane, both Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic are the only two players who offer more than what South African players within the squad do.

Zwane was referring to the style of play that Chiefs want to re-introduce, saying they don’t want to predicatable in their attack.

The Amakhosi legend admitted that Chiefs need to play with flair but most importantly have an identity of how they want to win matches.

ZWANE DOESN’T WANT KAIZER CHIEFS TO BE PREDICTABLE IN ATTACK

“We are trying not to be so predictable in attack. When we reach the final third, we should have that element of surprise,” said Zwane to the media.

“We need to play with flair, at Chiefs, there must be an identity and we will try and push the style of play and how we want to win.

“We must make sure it works for all our teams, from the development structures, there is a way of playing, and we want to take that into the first team. It shouldn’t just be about winning for the sake of winning.”

WHAT KAIZER CHIEFS TECHNICAL TEAM WANTS TO TEACH PLAYERS

Furthermore, Zwane said the technical team is trying to help the Chiefs players to be calm and worry less about losing the ball in competitive matches.

And he feels that’s the fear the current squad has, and perhaps the reason Chiefs are struggling to win matches on the regular basis.

“Mentally, the players need to be strong, and as a technical staff, we should play a role in helping them to be calm and not to be worried about losing the ball; that is the fear they have. Once a player doesn’t have confidence, they always kick the ball into the air,” said Zwane.

“If you look at the players in South Africa, they have that creative mindset. If you look at our team, only Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic give us that different dimension,” he concluded.
