Kaizer Chiefs coach hints at transfer sabotage!

“We need to find the right balance; you go to the transfer market as well, it is difficult. They make our lives difficult to get those players to Kaizer Chiefs,” – Arthur Zwane said as quoted by SoccerLaduma.

“They are asking for our telephone numbers that is why it is important to focus on our development.

“It is true that as a club, we have dropped our standard as we should be up there competing for the league title season in, season out.

“Kaizer Chiefs have to reinforce the squad; we have to beef up; we don’t have a choice. We have to.

“Unfortunately, there aren’t too many players out there that have got that desire and quality of playing for a team of Chiefs’ calibre.

During the previous transfer window in January, a number of clubs publicly confirmed their hesitation to do business with Kaizer Chiefs.

AmaZulu boss Sandile Zungu didn’t mince his words regarding the Glamour Boys’ pursuit of midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe while Royal AM too hit out at the Amakhosi.

Royal AM Chairman Sinky Mnisi hit out at Kaizer Chiefs for not willing to back their interest in Victor Letsoalo up with a worthy offer.

“If Kaizer Chiefs want Letsoalo, they must bring the money that we want. No money, no deal, that’s all.” Sinky Mnisi told Munghana Lonene FM at the time.

“We are not going to budge on that, Victor is a Rolls-Royce, if you want a Rolls-Royce you must pay the money the Rolls-Royce is worth, full stop.

“Don’t come and say you (Kaizer Chiefs) want a Rolls-Royce, but you want to pay money Mazda 323 is worth, it doesn’t work like that. If you feel that boy is a Rolls-Royce, pay the money and take the player, that’s all.”
