For the better part of the last year, Amakhosi have been rumoured to be interested in Zungu. Recently, it was reported that they made a stronger offer than Mamelodi Sundowns.
Well, the truth always comes out one way or another and Zwane did not hold back…

It turns out Chiefs were never interested in Zungu.

After months of rumours, articles and reputable brands reporting these links, Zwane dismissed all of them in a single sentence.

The truth is that Chiefs were never interested in Zungu. Not Zwane, Dillon Sheppard, Kaizer or Bobby Motaung.
He was never made an offer and he is not even tied to Chiefs in anyway.

Zungu is back in SA, he was spotted training with defending DStv Premiership champions, Sundowns.
More recently, he was made an improved offer and he agreed on personal terms with The Brazilians. As things stand, he is training n Chloorkop and he is set to return to Sundowns. However, they will let him go if an overseas offer does come through.
