Kaizer Chiefs latest: Zwane welcomes back Bafana Bafana duo

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has welcomed back the duo of Njabulo Blom and Kgaogelo Sekgota to prepare for the resumption of the season.

Amakhosi returned to training on Thursday morning following a break given to the players for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Sekgota left the Chiefs camp soon afterwards to honour their call-ups to Bafana Bafana for the two friendlies against Angola and Mozambique.

According to Zwane, Blom has recovered from an injury that saw him miss the Carling Black Label Cup, and he’s looking sharper than before.

Chiefs lost to Orlando Pirates in the first semi-final of that one-day tournament which was eventually won by Mamelodi Sundowns.

The return of Blom, in particular, is a huge relief to many Chiefs supporters as he’s still involved in future talks with the club.

Expectations are that Chiefs and Blom will get an opportunity to iron out their differences as the utility player is fast-approaching the final six months of his current deal.

KAIZER CHIEFS DUO RETURN SHARPER THAN BEFORE

“Njabulo and Kgaogelo came back with the rest of the team. They look sharp and will continue their preparations with the squad for the next encounter,” Zwane told the Chiefs website.

“We are also happy Blom has recovered after missing the Carling Black Label Cup match” adds Zwane.
