Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are set to make history by uniting to form one team for the DStv Compact Cup.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are set to make history by uniting to form one team for the DStv Compact Cup.

Amakhosi and the Buccaneers players will be uniting to form one side set to represent their respective region.

History will be made as Soweto derby rivals put aside their differences in the pursuit of historic silverware in South Africa’s newest football competition. This present both Chiefs and Pirates with a massive opportunity to win the first edition of the competition.

Usually, both side’s go into any competition in SA as one of the favourites, expected to challenge for the trophy of every local tournament, every season.

This time though, the players will join forces to represent Soweto. To be specific, 5 players from each side will be voted for by you, the fans, in a similiar way to the Carling Black Label Cup. Except this time you are voting for a unified side.

Inland one will feature five players from each side in the stream with Swallows and TS Galaxy set to feature too.

Their will also be one Diski Challenge player from each side.
