Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley du Preez insists that Amazulu won’t be able to catch them out in the MTN 8 semi-final first leg at the FNB Stadium.

Amazulu played out a goalless draw when they visited the FNB Stadium last month but Du Preez feels his team are favourites to walk out holding the edge after Sunday’s action.

Speaking to the club’s media team, he said: “Playing AmaZulu is nothing new.

“We’ve played them in the league and this is a cup game. I think we can go out there and play to get the win and have the first-leg ‘under the belt’. It’s not going to be easy but we’ll go out and do our best.”

Du Preez insists that if Kaizer Chiefs play to their potential they will claim victory on Sunday.

“For me, I take every game like I take training, giving everything. We must just play to our potential and we’ll get the win,” he added.

However, it remains touch and go for Sphesihle Maduna to take part.

“We still have Kwem suspended, we still have Ntuli out with a long-term injury, Maduna is still 50/50 chance that he will play,” Coach Brandon Truter said at AmaZulu Media Day.

“But at the same time we welcomed back Mobara, we welcomed back Rally Bwalya.”
