That’s according to AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu, who accused Chiefs of reaching an agreement with Sithebe even before he entered the final six months of his contract.

Zungu believes Chiefs and Sithebe completed their deal in December 2021, and he went further to say that he informed Bobby Motaung how unhappy he was about the whole saga.

ZUNGU QUESTIONS KAIZER CHIEFS’ HONESTY

“Chiefs weren’t honest in the deal because they agreed terms without the January window being opened in signing a pre-contract (when the player is left with six-month),” said Zungu to the media.

“In December, when we were on holiday, they had completed everything with him and you know the window only opened on 1 January. I told Bobby Motaung that I’m not happy at all about this.”

Zungu further confirmed that Sithebe is indeed going to Chiefs but he revealed that AmaZulu made their demands very clear if the Soweto giants want him before the end of January.

Furthermore, Zungu said Usuthu reserve their right to take legal action against Chiefs given their allegations that the midfielder might have been poached.

“Yes, Sithebe is going to Chiefs if they have concluded everything with him or at the very least at the end of the season,” continued Zungu.

“If they want to take him now, we informed them that this is what we want, and we still reserve our rights to take legal actions to the highest court.”
