Kaizer Chiefs: Amakhosi legend makes huge career choice, managements decision pending

Kaizer Chiefs are entering a critical period in the clubs history as legends and veterans depart. Now, one of the last standing club legends has made a surprising choice as we await managements decision.

Amakhosi legend Erick Mathoho has decided to not search for another club as he places his future in the hands of management, according to SoccerLaduma.

Therefore, he is not looking for another club as he has not given up on his time at Naturena. However, Amakhosi management are yet to make a decision on the Amakhosi legend.

CHIEFS LEGEND MAKES HUGE DECISION

Mathoho has opted to not search for another club despite the fact that he is illegible to sign a new contract.

Amakhosi’s legend has less than six months left in his contract. Meaning, he can sign a pre-contract with any prospective club.

Furthermore, he has fallen out of favour with Arthur Zwane and Amakhosi management.

Mathoho has only played one minute in the PSL this season, according to the same publication. The only time he did start was when Amakhosi fans voted him into the the starting team during their Carling Black Label Cup semi-final against Orlando Pirates.

However, he is unlikely to get much game time in the DStv Premiership given that he has fallen well down the pecking order at Naturena.

The likes of Zitha Kwinika, Edmilson Dove and Siyabonga Ngezana currently sit ahead of him when it comes to Zwane and team

Currently, Amakhosi management are discussing the future of Mathoho.

Therefore, he could still leave Naturena this January if management decides that he no longer brings value to the club. Although, all hope is not lost given the lackluster form of Kwinika and Dove of late.
