Kaizer Chiefs star linked with Naturena return – report

A former Kaizer Chiefs star who previously worked under Arthur Zwane has been linked with a possible return to Naturena.

Former Amakhosi star Given Thibedi has been linked with a possible return to Naturena, according to Phakaaati.

The 25-year-old is now a free agent after his contract with Moroka Swallows was terminated. Meaning, he could reunite with Zwane and Amakhosi soon based on the recent rumours mill.

EX-CHIEFS STAR LINKED WITH NATURENA RETURN

Thibedi was recently let go of by the Dube birds.

“We agreed with the player that it was not working out, so we thought it was in his best interest to allow him to leave early,” Swallows club boss David Mogashoa confirmed on SABC Sport

Swallows have since reached out to Amakhosi to enquire about Thibedi’s possible return to Naturena.

“The coach (Ernst Middendorp) had made it clear that he did not see him in his plans even though he is a talented player. I have spoken to Given and he is obviously disappointed, but this will give him an opportunity to start afresh,

“It’s unfortunate, the talent is obviously there. But there are so many players in his position and there’s just no room. I also alerted Chiefs, as he is their academy product, to ask if they would have a place for him and they also have a lot of players in his position,” he added.

Therefore, if Amakhosi management accept the offer he could be reunited with Zwane and the Soweto giants.

However, he is a midfielder (central) and Amakhosi are packed with players in this position. In fact, their depth is so strong that the likes of Siyethemba Sithebe, Cole Alexander and former Bafana Bafana star Phathushedzo Nange are even struggling for gametime.
