Royal AM manager John Maduka is a man with style – and good taste in wheels – as he showed this week at the KwaZulu-Natal club.

The DStv Premiership aide has hogged the headlines in recent weeks after they bought the top-flight status of Bloemfontein Celtic and relocated the club to Pietermaritzburg under the new name, Royal AM.

The club couldn’t get their season off to a winning start, however, going down 1-0 against Swallows FC last weekend.

Prior to kick-off, Royal AM posted pictures on social media of Maduka in a club-sponsored BMW X5 which retails for around R1.4 million.

The German vehicle brand is a firm favourite among South Africa’s footballers. 

John Maduka, now 50, is a retired Malawian footballer who played for Bloemfontein Celtic from 2004 until his retirement in 2009.  

He played 67 matches for the former PSL side in total and also has 29 caps for Malawi.

Royal AM will next be in action on Wednesday, 25 August when they host Cape Town City.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
