Kaizer Chiefs utility player Anthony Akumu Agay would like for Amakhosi to build on their last two league wins against AmaZulu and Cape Town City by continuing to collect log points.

The two victories have seen Chiefs rise from 14th to eighth in the standings.

Anthony Agay and his teammates will now look to build on those performances in their next match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday at the FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is at 17:00.

The lanky Kenyan international has played in eight league games this season, including starting the last six league games.

“Winning two games in a row is a morale booster,” admitted Agay on the official Kaizer Chiefs website.

“We can continue from where we left off for the next game against TTM. If we can approach the next game in the same way we approached the last two games, I believe that we can get the maximum points we need.”

Anthony Agay has also had to adjust his game, after having been used in various roles.

“I’ve adapted to playing wherever coach Gavin Hunt utilises me,” Agay added.

“Playing anywhere on the field is all about the belief that the coach and your teammates have in you. So, I’m comfortable with being deployed in any position that I can play. I have played in many positions as player, so it’s not a new thing for me.”

Agay also believes that Chiefs skipper Ramahlwe Mphahlele has had a positive influence on him.

“Playing with ‘Rama’ and the other guys is good. Someone like Rama makes it easier because he communicates with me all the time and he’s experienced. It’s a good thing to be playing and winning.”

With TTM on the horizon Anthony Agay is again expecting a physical encounter, but is confident that Chiefs can gain a positive outcome from the game.

“Our next game on Tuesday won’t be easy,” Agay said.

“It will be as tough as the other ones. Therefore, it’s about the right attitude and approach. I believe we can collect the three points. Whoever will be there on the pitch must be supported.”

A win against TTM will help Chiefs climb the table further.

But Amakhosi will be under no illusions as to the task that lies ahead of them, with TTM themselves looking for the win.

It will be key for Chiefs to continue showing the same determined and motivated form that they have displayed in recent games if they are to overcome a determined TTM side.

The match will be televised on SuperSport channel 202 … but rather follow LIVE on The South African website!
