Hugo Broos picks one PSL team that plays best football, no Big Three!

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has picked the one PSL team he feels plays the best football so far this season.

And surprisingly, none of the ‘Big Three’ – Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates – have impressed Broos. 

In an interview with Power FM, Broos said he was highly impressed by Swallows FC, especially their tempo, combination play and their technique.

“For me, the best team I saw, on football level, was Swallows. I was very surprised to see them play last week,” said Broos. 

“There was tempo, there was good combination play, and there was technique.

“That was for me, until now, the team that plays the best football,” continued Broos. 

Nonetheless, Broos said perhaps the reason the other 15 PSL teams haven’t impressed him like Swallows may be that it’s still the beginning of the season and some players are still trying to find their feet.

“Maybe it’s also the beginning of the season where teams are searching for the style of play, and perhaps there are players, at the moment, who are not in good shape,” added Broos.
