Golden Arrows seek to rediscover their winning touch as they host the in-form SuperSport United at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday.

Abafana Bes’thende have fared well against Matsatsantsa this season. Steve Komphela’s side knocked Kaitano Tembo’s men out of the Telkom Knockout 1-0 and drew 0-0 away to them in the league.

Arrows have since lost some momentum and have only won one of their last seven fixtures. This is an ideal time for SuperSport United to claim revenge.

Matsatsantsa were impressive in Friday’s 3-0 drubbing of Chippa United. Bradley Grobler bagged a brace in a clinical performance.

Tembo is eager to hold onto Grobler amid reported interest from Mamelodi Sundowns, although he accepts that he is not in total control over the striker’s future.

“I am happy that he is happy here and our stance is to try and keep our best players but also understand that there are people running businesses and it is about making profit,” he was quoted as saying by the Citizen.

“Bradley has been very huge for us and he played well against Chippa. If you want to challenge for league honours you need to have players who can come in and score goals and we are happy.”

Grobler’s brace against Chippa put him joint second on the top scorers chart, behind only Orlando Pirates’ Gabadinho Mhango.

The striker will be looking to add to his tally and end Arrows’ clean sheet streak against SuperSport United.

Kick-off time and prediction

Kick-off time: 1 February, 15:30

Prediction: Golden Arrows have thrown away plenty of games recently and SuperSport United are the last team you want to gift chances to. Matsatsantsa are growing in leaps and bounds and are Saturday’s likely winners.

Bookies give SuperSport United the marginal advantage with a 45% chance of winning, while Golden Arrows have a 33% chance. Arrows win 36% of fixtures at these odds and SuperSport 38%.
