It comes just a month after George Lebese was announced as a new signing following the termination of his contract with Major Soccer League (MLS) outfit Colorado Switchbacks.

However, it has now transpired that because the 32-year-old cancelled his contract outside of the registered FIFA transfer window, he has been unable to register with the Limpopo-based club.

“As far as I know George is no longer with us due to his work visa. We can’t get a FIFA clearance for him. So I think George agreed, I don’t know because I’m not seeing him,” Kerr said ahead of the Chippa United showdown this weekend.

“I think George has gone home and I don’t know if he’s still part of TTM, but I can understand his frustration, when he came, he was way off the pace.

“I mean we’d be risking serious injury if we did play him in a competitive game because he’s not been training and he has not played [a match] since November.

“So he was a long way short of the rest of the squad and we tried very very hard to get his ITC, but the legalities of it in America… he was already contracted to that club, he wasn’t really a free agent, so we couldn’t really sign him.”
