SuperSport United put in a dominant performance in their 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United in the DStv Premiership in Pretoria on Friday night.

SuperSport United enjoy early possession and made a lapse in concentration from Sekhukhune United count.

A corner was taken quickly for Jamie Webber to get get a better angle and his swinging ball found the head of Bradley Grobler at the back post who made no mistake.

Chasing the match, Sekhukhune United brought on three reserves – Thamsanqa Masiya, Wonderboy Makhubu and Pogiso Mahlangu – to start the second half.

Despite the fresh legs, the hosts scored their third goal when Thamsanqa Gabuza pounced on a rebound from Grobler’s powerful shot.

The men from Kempton Park finally got on the scoreboard when replacement Thamsanqa Masiya showed great power and accuracy from a tight angle to slip one past Ricardo Goss, making it 3-1 with 25 minutes to play.

Gavin Hunt’s men hung on to claim all three points to strengthen their third place in the standings with 17 points after 10 matches.

Sekhukhune United find themselves in 13th spot with 10 points after as many matches.
