Matsatsantsa were unable to overcome a resurgent Marumo Gallants side, unbeaten in their previous four games in all competitions, with Bradley Grobler missing an 83rd-minute penalty.

While the result lifted Hunt’s men back into second place on the standings with 44 points, they have played one match more than third-placed Orlando Pirates, who are one point adrift.

Hunt told SuperSport: “Wasn’t our best performance but we still should have won the game comfortably you know. We had some great moments some great opportunities. We got to score.

“We were well ahead three games ago, we’ve obviously made it hard for ourselves. We’ve had a game against Chippa [United] like this, the same thing, we should have won four or five nil, we drew 1-1, then we draw again so ja it is what it is.”

Hunt added: “That’s what football is all about, you got to score. Before the penalty I mean it [the ball] was on the goal line, you could roll it in and we don’t score and all the other chances.

“It’s totally unjust but that’s football you got to work harder. We just got to work harder, stick together. They’re giving me their all, they are achieving with what we got. We got to keep going that’s all we can do.”
