Keagan Dolly opened the scoring for Amakhosi after 12 minutes at the FNB Stadium before adding a second in the 31st minute. Khama Billiat (70th minute) and Lazarous Kambole (91st minute) rounded off the scoring with second half goals.

The result left Chippa United down in 14th place in the DStv Premiership standings with just one win from their opening seven matches.

Post-match the former Kaizer Chiefs boss told SuperSport that Chippa United had plenty of chances of their own while conceding too easily.

Gavin Hunt said: “We lost 4-0 but if you look at the game and you understand football, I mean how many opportunities did we have tonight. My goodness, it could have been seven or eight for us. Before they scored we should have scored twice. We had so many chances in and around the box.

“The first goal was a real defensive error. It’s a problem for us. We’ve got to try and improve them and get them better. Some of them obviously come from a lower level. And if you’re not up to the level you’re going to get exposed.

“There were a lot of individual errors. The third goal – I mean it’s right down the side. It’s a simple defensive structure there and it’s disappointing but I mean we had unbelievable chances tonight.”

Chippa United will next be in action at home against Swallows on Sunday, 24 October at 15:30.
