Although there weren’t an array of blockbuster movements during this period, it was runaway DStv Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who swooped for two notable signings: Surprise Ralani and Teboho Mokoena.
It was a very quiet window for Orlando Pirates, who announced no new signings, while Kaizer Chiefs only really emerged late on Monday to say that they had “taken advantage of the January transfer window to extend the contracts of seven of the club’s most promising players”.

Royal AM released as many as 15 players in this period, while Cape Town City sold four players: Ralani, Abbubaker Mobara, Abdul Ajagun and Fagrie Lakay.
