Four clubs to battle it out for Kaizer Chiefs utility defender

According to the latest transfer reports, Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo is wanted by a host of PSL clubs!

Ngcobo joined the Glamour Boys as the reigning ‘defender of the season’ from Swallows however he was initially converted to a midfielder by Stuart Baxter at the time.

Playing out of his preferred position, Ngcobo struggled to impress and soon found himself benched at the club.

Under coach Arthur Zwane, Ngcobo was shifted back to defence but again failed to steal a starting berth.

He’s ultimately been starved of game-time at Naturena and reports suggest, he’s heading for the exit door!

Four teams interested in Kaizer Chiefs defender?

“Now, there are about four teams that are all showing interest in signing him on loan.” – a SoccerLaduma report read regarding Njabulo Ngcobo.

“Swallows want to bring him back but there is also SuperSport United, Richards Bay United and AmaZulu FC.

“All these teams have shown interest in the player and it will now depend on their talks with Kaizer Chiefs.

“But the player has also expressed the wish to move away and have some game-time as he feels he is not appreciated enough at Chiefs.”

In other news, no Kaizer Chiefs player has scored more DStv Premiership goals than Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana this season.

The lanky Burundian striker has scored seven goals for Arthur Zwane’s side in the league this season.

In fact, only Ashley Du Preez has managed to come close to him (six goals in the DStv Premiership).

Amakhosi take decision on Bimenyimana?

“It’s pretty disappointing how the coach told Caleb that he will be gone at the end of the season. If that’s the case, you call a player into the office and explain your decision to him privately,” an un-named Kaizer Chiefs player told FARPost.

“It’s a bit inappropriate to say it in front of teammates. They were not there when the club brought the player. It gets us as players wondering if our coach would ever stand for us to protect us.”
