Former Orlando Pirates player OUT as SuperSport United clean house!

SuperSport United will reportedly not be renewing the contract of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi.

SuperSport United will reportedly not be renewing the contract of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi as they plan a squad overhaul after the axing of coach Kaitano Tembo last week.

According to a Kickoff report, 28-year-old Mahachi is on the way out as Matsatsantsa trim their squad.

Mahachi joined SuperSport United from Orlando Pirates in 2019, but has failed to live up to expectations and the club have taken the option not to renew his contract.

The Zimbabwean midfielder last played for SuperSport United on 15 February in the 2-1 loss against Maritzburg United and has only played in nine games this season.

Not the only player leaving SuperSport United

During his first two seasons at the Tshwane giants, Mahachi made 62 appearances for the side.

Meanwhile, another player on the way out at SuperSport United is 32-year-old defender Buhle Mkhwanazi who refuses to get a Covid-19 vaccination which is against the club’s policy.

Mkhwanazi had not played this season.
