A former Kaizer Chiefs fan favourite striker might just be about to revive his PSL career after being spotted training with Cape Town City.

Nurkovic spotted in Cape Town

Kaizer Chiefs let Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic leave the club on a free transfer despite scoring 12 goals in his first season at the club and becoming a cult favourite. That year, ‘The Kokota Piano’ took the Glamour Boys close to the PSL title but they were eventually pipped to the crown on the final day of the 2019-20 campaign. Since then, a mixture of injuries and a loss of form have hampered his progress and consistency.

Nurkovic’s Royal AM move didn’t work out

Chiefs let the experienced Serbian striker leave the club last season and he signed for Royal AM. However, his time with the Durban-based side didn’t go according to plan. Now, according to the latest reports from iDiski Times, the player was spotted training with Cape Town City.

“The latest around the Serbian striker is that Cape Town City are weighing up their options on signing former Amakhosi man.The 30-year-old spent a few days training with Eric Tinkler’s team before they went on break, this publication has learnt.Nurkovic is believed to have impressed Tinkler, but there are concerns over his condition and injury-status, and the club are believed to have not yet made a decision.” iDiski Times said.
